How ? Here is the explanation: If you look at the time line of the evolution of life, we find that reptiles evolved before birds. Since reptiles lay eggs and the chicken is a bird (which came into existence 150 million years after the reptiles), it is obvious that the egg came first! In fact, even before reptiles there were egg laying animals on this planet!
