Make directory submissions more effective

Submitting your sites to "lower grade" directories is not highly effective. Internal pages of these directories may not have enough pagerank or incoming links.

So, you can get better results by generating links for the internal pages of the directories. Sure, you are helping the directory, but you are helping yourself as well.

How do you do that ? Simple…

Suppose you have submitted your site to www.somedirectory.com/somecategory/. You can now add this link to social bookmarking sites and post a few comments on blogs with this link in the "your website" field. You can also link to this category from some websites of yours. However, be careful as linking to "bad sites" can hurt your rankings.
